Never Say Never!

Hi There,

Charles and Scott for another installment of your 8:01
marketing tips. I think you will like today’s tips and we
hope it will help you in your journey for more income.

How does it make you feel when people laugh at you?
What about when they call you names and think you
have absolutely lost it?

We all know that answer. Think back if you will, there
were two brothers that were from a small town in Michigan
who started a small business selling of all things, soap.

Their idea was to get folks together and sell soap to
families on a one on one basis and create a compensation
plan to pay several layers of management or recruiters.

This was 1956 and everyone laughed at the concept.
No one would be willing to sell soap to others door to
door. Why would they do such an odd thing?

Didn’t those crazy guys know that you could buy soap
at the grocery store or even at the corner convenience
store?

Of course, I am speaking about Jay and Rich DeVos,
co-founders of a little soap company you might have
heard about… Amway.

Or how about an old man with nothing more than a
station wagon and a recipe. He literally went to over
2000 places to pitch his recipe for fried chicken until
someone decided to give it a try.

That old man was Colonel Harlan Sanders of Kentucky
Fried Chicken Fame. He made many franchisees wealthy
with his little chicken recipe from Kentucky.

What has this got to do with Internet Marketing and
helping you achieve an income in 30 days or less?
Everything… read on and we will elaborate.

In the above examples, we mention household names
and everyone is aware of who they are. They had two
major things in common which I hope that you will
adopt.

First, they had a belief in their product and believed that
it would help others.

Secondly, they knew if they could just get someone to
listen and try what they were showing them they would
understand.

The same goes with your marketing efforts. If you truly
believe what you are offering to others will help them
greatly, and that it is a good product or program, then
like Amway and Kentucky Fried Chicken, you have a
winner on your hands.

Imagine for a moment though that Colonel Sanders
listened to all the pundits and naysayers and told him
that at age 72 he should just retire to an old folks home
and not talk about his chicken recipe.

What about the DeVos brothers from Michigan? What
if they just threw in the towel after talking to many families
who did not purchase their program.

How many lives have been changed by just these two
examples? It is very difficult to calculate but I would guess
in the hundreds of thousands.

Both of the entrepreneurs from different walks of life never
gave in to one basic human emotion. Frustration…

It is the same with your marketing efforts. Not every program
or system you attempt will knock it out of the ball park.

There will be some times that you are just saying to your
self… “I am so sick and tired of this process.” “I just
wish that someone would actually pay attention to what
I am trying to tell them.”

Trust us, we know exactly how you feel and have been there
time and time again. Just remember, it is darkest outside
just before the dawn, yet with each new day, someone,
somewhere is grateful that your message came to them.

We hope these words of confidence will help you in your
quest, however, remember without the tools that we recommended
to you, the quest is much harder.

Until tomorrow,

Charles and Scott

Maybe my story will inspire someone.

I was a shop worker, high school dropout with a hearing impairment from birth when I got an opportunity to audition for a TV News broadcasting job.

Everyone in the shop laughed, family thought I was nuts, even friends thought I lost it.

I refused to listen and had a successful, award winning, broadcasting career. I have interviewed Presidents down to street criminals and reported every story imaginable. It was an exciting and rewarding life.

I am now retired (65) and learning Internet Marketing as my new career. Yep, some people think I’ve lost it again! They will be wrong, again!

My philosophy was, and still is: “That guy is doing what I want to do and he knows something I don’t know. When I find out what it is, I’ll be doing it too.”

I used this philosophy to also become a successful owner of rental real estate with no money down. I eventually sold my properties for a nice profit.

This philosophy will serve you well regardless of what you want to achieve in life.

Let them laugh. Better yet, don’t tell them what you are doing. When you succeed, they will notice without you saying a word.

    Jim

I just want you to know how much I enjoy getting your emails.

Today’s really hit me. I’ve been sitting here trying to decide what “to-do” is next (they all are attempts at making some money NOW).

I realized what I should be doing is spending time on my dream that I know people need. No, it won’t make me money right this minute….but it’s where my heart is.

Thanks for reminding me of what is really important. Today will not be wasted!

I think the content hits dead center of what defines success and the rest of the pack. Several other stories leaped to mind as I read it. It is an effective wake-up call and I’m a-gonna heed it.

    Happy Dae.

    Hi Jim

You are on the right track. The key to success is following something that has already been done.

    Hi Charles,

Despite the naysayers and sideways looks by my wife, I have stuck at it for four long years.

But it has been worth it. My wife is now so excited. I have fallen into an opportunity that, like Jay and Rich, like Colonel Sanders, will reward me greatly for having continued on and on as I did.

I now focus on just this one thing and have put aside all of the other distractions that I fell into, at great expense I might add.

So this is the secret – focus on just one thing, remember you are trying to create a business, and give it all your worth. You will succeed.

If I am allowed to put my URL here please let me know. Others can benefit immensely with what I have discovered.

    Jeff

As I sit here this morning with my cup of coffee and I read all the comments for the various posts, I am sitting with a sense of pride and awe. Both Charles and I have really tried to give you our readers some guidance as to what to go out and do.

We have shared with you various tools to use, how to get started and hope you will use your dream to the fullest extent by putting a pen to paper or fingers to the keyboard.

Like Jim, he never let adversity stand in his way, he took action against all odds and succeeded. I don’t mean that the other stories are not as important but I use this one as an example.

As Winston Churchill once said… I probably will mess up his quote… “Never Say Never… We Will Never Give Up, even in the face of adversity!”

Looking forward to hearing more comments.
